How do we connect our two phones?
Both of you create an account. One of you chooses “Create our room” and shares the invitation; the other opens the link or chooses “Join their room” and types the code. Codes last 24 hours and work once.
I didn’t get my sign-in code.
Check spam and promotions, and make sure the address is spelled right. You can ask for a new code after a minute. Each code expires after an hour.
I got a new phone. Is our room gone?
No. Rooms belong to your account, so install Dearroom and log in with the same email or Google account and your room is back.
Hold hands isn’t working.
You both need the Touch screen open at the same time. Holding stops when either of you lets go, after 15 seconds, or if the connection drops. Vibrations depend on your phone’s settings, Focus and Do Not Disturb.
How do I leave a room or delete my account?
In the app, go to Us → Leave our room. To delete your account and data, email hello@dearroom.app from your account’s address.
